Stems to 30 cm long, rooting near base; roots thick, whitish.
Leaves linear, 15-20 cm long, 17-20 mm wide, apex unequally 2-lobed, more or less recurved.
Inflorescences axillary, paniculate, to 30 cm long; peduncle rather slender, yellowish; bracts scale-like, 2 mm long; pedicel and ovary 6-7 mm long. Flowers yellow, with 2 broad, brownish red bands on sepals and petals, ca. 1 cm in diam.; dorsal sepal elliptic, 3.5 mm long, 2.5 mm wide, obtuse; lateral sepals obliquely elliptic, 4 mm long, 2.5 mm wide, acute; petals linear-oblong, 4 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, obtuse; lip saccate, with 2 lateral lobes and a midlobe at opening, lateral lobes triangular, 1 mm long, erect, acute, midlobe sagittate, with 3 acute lobules, often incurved, sac or spur 5 mm long, dorsally compressed, thickened on front wall, septate inside, truncate at bottom; anther nearly ractangular, with 3 small lobes at base; pollinia, attached to a broad stipe and a horseshoe shaped viscidium.
